Appetisers and Snacks

Thai "snacks" are served all through the day and into the night. The following dishes are a selection of some of our favourites. While, in Thailand they are usually eaten separately, we have adapted them as appetisers to form the first part of your meal.

Chicken Satay

Marinated chicken on skewers, served with a tasty peanut sauce. €7

Vegetable Spring Rolls

Bean vermicelli, cabbage and carrot cooked in Thai seasoning sauce, wrapped in pastry, served with plum sauce. €7

Prawn & Chicken Cakes

Minced prawns, chicken and kaffir lime leaves, covered in bread crumbs, served with a sweet chilli sauce. €7

Wan Ton

Minced pork, tiger prawns, crabmeat and Thai herbs wrapped in pastry, served with a plum sauce. €7

Dumplings

Parcels of minced pork, shrimp, and crabmeat steamed in a bamboo basket and served with soy sauce. €7

Green Curry

Massaman Curry

A rich curry with coconut milk and potatoes, included in most wedding celebrations, as it is difficult to prepare, and uses their rare expensive potato. a. Prawns €17  b. Fillet Beef €17  c. Chicken €17

Choo Chee Prawn Curry

Lightly stir fried in a creamy coconut sauce with red curry paste and Thai herbs garnished with shredded basil and lime leaves. €17

Duck Tamarind Sauce

Roast duck served on a bed of crispy noodles drizzled with tamarind sauce. €17

Duck Chilli Oil

Stir fried peppers, onion, pineapple, carrot and spring onion served over a bed of crispy roast duck in chilli oil sauce. €17

Cod with Mango

Shredded mango, lemon and chilli's served over lightly battered Cod fillet drizzled with a mango chilli sauce. €17

Prawn Phad Thai

The most famous Thai noodles, stir fried prawns with ground peanut, egg, spring onion, salted turnip and bean sprouts. €17

Ginger dishes

Garlic & Pepper

Ginger Vegetables and Cashew Nuts

There is a long tradition of vegetarianism in Thailand, which is closely linked to Buddhism. Few people in Thailand are strictly vegetarian, though most like to eat vegetarian food now and again. It is largely true to say that only the strictly religious, are true vegetarians. If you go to Thailand and declare yourself a vegetarian then it may be assumed, that you too are a devout Buddhist, so don't go and spoil it by ordering a beer!

Red Curry

Stir fried mixed vegetables in red curry paste with coconut milk, peas and Thai herbs. €17
